CVS this week- 9/21

Ok so I got some decent deals today but I am most excited to tell you that the Malt o Meal cereal is clearanced 75% off! I don't need any more cereal, but for .25 a box I am thinking of building the kids a fort in the living room! It will be like a gingerbread house, only cereal boxes. I know how this going to go. This week they will be excited. Next week, they might have a couple of bowls for a snack. Next month, they will be giving it to the mail man. I sure hope he likes 'Froot Loops'.

CVS Sunday

I was so excited to go to CVS today. With a 3 year old usually in tow, it just hasn't been worth it the last couple of weeks. I'm always surprised with my out of pocket b/c I think I know what it will be and then I'll be blessed by the coupon printer. Since I didn't have any extra bucks to start with (GASP!) I scanned both of my cards (Yes, I really do only have 2 cards. Really.) to see what would spit out. Much to my surprise I had 3.50 in extra bucks on one card, from my Spring spending. And I got a $2 off $10!! Here's what I did...... FYI- My CVS didn't have the DVD's. And the Revlon was in the back b/c they "haven't changed their cosmetics yet". This is when it's good to know your cashiers and make nice with them. My cashier said, "Follow me, and you can get what you want out of the box. I'll just tell everyone else that we don't have the makeup."

I sooooooo heart CVS!! When I left CVS I hit Target to check out their shoe clearance. I got 2 pairs of sandals and a pair of fall shoes for Peyton, for next year, and super cute pair of wedge sandals for me, all for $14!!

What great deals have you gotten recently? Post it in comments! You could be helping a fellow frugal friend.

So here's how I did my trip today, staring with 11.98 in ecb. *The mouth was shown was bought last Friday but I used ecb and got them for .75. They are not included on any of today's transactions, but the deal is still going on!

I saved my ecb this week in hopes that I will find more toothpaste and smart rinse. If not I will use the $11 for the girls Easter baskets, instead of grocery fillers, like milk. Peyton is DYING for a Cinderella battery toothbrush. I'm not sure if a 3 yr old should have a moving toothbrush so she may have to settle for a manual one. I definitely won't have to buy candy, that's for sure! And I have my eggs for the Easter Egg Hunt next Sunday. I love CVS!

CVS Sunday 3/2

Ok so I am going to include how I WOULD have done my CVS trip today if they had had everything in their ad. They, of course, were out of things. However, I met a lady that is seriously a coupon queen. She is even getting her own segment on our local news. Come to find out, there is a lady who shops CVS to stock her convenience store!!!! I was shocked. I guess it's a good idea but I was still shocked. My fave store gets a truck on Friday so hopefully I can get all my good deals then. Hope this helps! I spent like 5 hours on it this morning!

CVS 2/24- update

My transactions had to change a bit and I thought I would let you all know why. I couldn't find the children's aspirin ANYWHERE. At first I figured they were out. I found the store manager and he took me to the "low dose adult aspirin". He said the children's aspirin had been changed to adult low dose. This sounded strange to me so I asked the pharmacist if it was okay to give the low dose aspirin to my 3 yr. old. He told me that aspirin is not a very good product, in general, for children. To quote him he said it's still around because of history and if they tried to pass it through the FDA now it probably wouldn't pass. SCARY! Needless to say, I put it back. If you give aspirin to your kids I don't want anyone to be offended. I just wanted to pass along the info I was given. =)

Here's how I did my transactions instead. Starting with $5 ecb.

CVS- Sunday 2/24

OK so I have officially lost it. My CVS did not have an ad last week so I have had MAJOR CVS withdrawals this week. I woke up at 7:30 this morning ready to run out and get my paper to see if CVS had an ad. Much to my delight, they did!! Here's how I plan to spend $10 at CVS this week. FYI- My CVS seems to run out of the really great deals by Sunday afternoon. I try to check out http://www.iheartcvs.com/ on Saturday because they have copies of the upcoming sales ads. That way all I have to do is clip my mfg. coupons. I have $5 ecb to start with this week.
